It’s amazing to take a 90 year old airframe, make modifications like that and still come out with a relevant and fully functional aircraft. It just shows the genius of the design and solidifies my view that the DC-3 is still the best airplane by far that’s ever been designed and manufactured!
I just love this TurboDak. It belonged to Anglo-american mining and was used for geophysical surveys to find gold,silver deposits etc. Im South African..seen this TD over the Merensky Reef many times.

I am so confused to hear the sounds that came out of the DC-3 coming out of it. It is like seeing a dog open its mouth and producing a meow. It is unnatural. But, why do I like it? I am so confused.
No matter how many modifications they make to her, the DC-3 remains a beautiful flying machine.
Sorry, but that bird-beak nose and tail, combined with the gadgets on the wingtips, negates the beauty of this magnificent aircraft. :-(

I'm so glad that Basler is saving these great aircraft, as no more modern plane seems to fit the niche that the BT-67 does.
It is wonderful that it is alive in the present time.
Only thing missing is a badass set of wheels.
